100 New Muslims Perform Umrah: In a program set up by Saudi officials, 100 people who had just become Muslims went to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque for the first time to do the Umrah.
The Public Relations and Institutional Communication Agency, on behalf of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, met with the new Muslims.
This was part of a community partnership between the Presidency and the Abdul Qadir Al-Muhaidib Foundation for Community Service, which runs the World Pilgrimage Program for new Muslims from 30 countries in 2022.
This Program, which was put into place by the Agency for Guidance and Counseling Affairs and was delivered by Sheikh Mohammed Abdulrahman, comprises exposing new Muslims to the fundamentals of Islam and instructing them in Umrah customs.
The Field Awareness Affairs Agency has also provided mutawwifs (pilgrim leaders) to go inside the Grand Mosque with the new Muslims. The King Abdulaziz Complex and the Holy Kaaba Kiswa have both been visited by them.
It is interesting that Medina welcomed the new Muslims.
The Umrah rituals were explained to them, and Answer their Fiqh questions were also addressed before they went to the Prophet’s Mosque library.
