Dua For Safety From Dajjal

Dajjal is a fake prophet who will lead people astray by lying.
He is the false messiah who will try to trick people with the signs he is given,
such as making it rain, bringing plants back to life, and doing other “miracles.” Mixing is what the root dajala means.

The word dajala means to confuse things on purpose and to be vague and unclear.
Dajjal is the one who talks nonsense, tells a lot of lies, and tricks a lot of people.
The false messiah who lied and had only one eye was called “Dajjal.” Dajjal is called that because he will lie, trick, and confuse people to hide his kufr from them.

Messenger of Allah said, “I’ve talked about the Dajjal so much
that I’m afraid you won’t understand. The Dajjal will be a short man with curly hair and pigeon toes. He will only have one eye, which won’t be big or small. If you get confused about who he is, just remember that your Lord doesn’t have only one eye. [Abu Dawood, no. 3763]

How did the Prophet teach the Sahabah to protect themselves from the Dajjal?

Dua For Safety From Dajjal

The Prophet of Allah, Muhammad (PBUH), said,
“The Dajjal will appear among my ummah and stay for forty years.”
Then Allah will send ‘Eesa ibn Maryam, who looks like ‘Urwah ibn Masood,
and he will try and kill him.” [Muslim no. 5233] 

The saheeh ahadith say that the Dajjal will be killed by the Messiah, Eesa ibn Maryam.
The Dajjal will come to earth, get a lot of followers, and spread his fitnah all over the world.
Only a small number of believers will be able to avoid his fitnah.

Al-Nawwaas ibn Sam’aan, says, “If anyone of you sees Dajjal he should say the first verses of Surat al-Kahf to him.” [Muslim 5228]
