The fire in 2020 destroyed the 358-year-old Vanikoy Mosque in Istanbul’s Üsküdar district, but it has now been fixed.
On November 15, 2020, the historic Vanikoy Mosque, one of the 11 mosques that line the Bosphorus, was turned into ash.
The mosque was fixed up with the help of Mehmet Kalyoncu, who lives in the Vanikoy area and is the head of the Kalyon Foundation.
