Islamic extremist groups continue to attack and steal from Christian communities in Nigeria. This time, extremists burned down homes and killed animals. This happened just a few days after terrorists killed a Christian woman who was pregnant.

According to Open Doors USA’s 2022 World Watch List, which ranks the countries where Christians face the most trouble, Nigeria is the seventh most dangerous place in the world for Christians.

About 98 million people, or about half of the country’s population, call themselves Christians. However, Islamic militants and armed terror groups are the ones who attack the most violently.

Last year, the country was at the top of the World Watch List for the number of Christians who were killed because of their faith and the number of Christians who were taken away. In the number of attacks on churches, it was just behind China.

Open Doors says that Boko Haram and the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) want to get rid of all Christians in Nigeria.

ISWAP members recently burned down homes in a mostly Christian village. This happened nine days after terrorists killed a Christian woman who was pregnant in the same area.

A local resident told the outlet that they burned down several homes, killed animals, and destroyed buildings where crops had been stored.

Shawulu Yohanna said, “They rode motorcycles and were armed with guns and cluster bombs, which they used to attack two towns.” “No one was killed in the attack, so the people in the two villages were able to escape.”
