Al-Ekhbariya reported that on Sunday, the city of Tumair saw the crescent for the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, which is when the yearly Hajj pilgrimage takes place.
This means that the journey, which all healthy and able Muslims must do once in their lives, will begin on June 26 and the day of Arafah will be on June 27.
This year, Muslims who aren’t going on the journey will celebrate Eid Al-Adha on June 28.
