According to Islamic teachings, the dead should have a safe place to be buried for all time. In the Netherlands, this is often impossible because there isn’t enough room. Now, the Muslim community has opened a big cemetery that was made just for this.
Maqbara Rawdah Al Moslimin, which means “Cemetery Garden of Muslims,” has room for 16,000 graves. A news report says that this makes it the largest Islamic cemetery in Western Europe.
