Saudi Railways Transport Over 1.3 Million Hajj Pilgrims

Makkah — The Saudi Railways Organization announced on Wednesday that it
had completed 2,228 journeys and transported 1,350,000 pilgrims during the Hajj season.
On Tarwiyah evening and running through Tashreeq day three, the Saudi
Railway Company announced that pilgrims would have access to a nine-station
network in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.
According to the company, it transported more than 212,000 pilgrims to Arafat,
then nearly 200,000 pilgrims from Arafat to Muzdalifah 90 minutes ahead of schedule,
and 248,000 pilgrims from Muzdalifah to Mina.

Tashreeq trains carried over 666,000 pilgrims from the Mina 1, Mina 2, and Muzdalifah
3 stations to Mina 3 during that period (Jamarat).

Al-Malik stated that his organization was dedicated to providing pilgrims with
the best service possible.
According to Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Transportation and Logistics, the Masher
the railway system has allowed more than 50,000 buses to be removed from the roads
between holy sites.
During the Hajj season, twenty trains, each 300 meters long and capable of
transporting 3,500 pilgrims were utilized.
The opening of the Mashaer railway lines occurred on November 13, 2010.
