Post-Hajj, 212k Pilgrims Visited Madinah

MADINAH: This year’s Hajj brought 212,167 pilgrims from
more than 100 countries.

According to data compiled by the Hajj and Umrah Ministry,
130,329 pilgrims have entered or exited Madinah’s holy city
via Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport or the Hajj Land Center.

81,838 pilgrims were in Madinah as of Sunday, according to the latest statistics.

Since COVID-19 rules were eased two years ago,
Saudi Arabia has welcomed international pilgrims for the first time
in two years by allowing up to 1 million persons to perform Hajj.

Volunteers from Madinah municipality have been handing out
umbrellas to pilgrims visiting the Prophet’s Mosque for the past two weeks.
