Israel is Excavating Tunnels Beneath
The Al Aqsa Mosque
The Israeli underground tunnels and diggings beneath the Aqsa Mosque
according to Mohammed Abu Halabiya, head of the Palestinian
Legislative Council’s al-Quds and al-Aqsa Committee, constitute
a grave threat to the mosque’s future.
Stones reportedly fell from an Aqsa Mosque wall as a result of Israeli
excavations beneath the Umayyad Palaces, which extend over 800 meters
between Ein Silwan and the Buraq Wall,
according to MP Abu Halabiya. Israel is Excavating Tunnels
The repeated fractures and cave-ins at the Aqsa Mosque jeopardize the
entire holy site resulting in Israel’s unwillingness to allow
the Islamic Awqaf to do maintenance work in al-Quds.
Israeli crimes at the Aqsa Mosque should be prosecuted by
international tribunals, according to a lawmaker.
