Dua For Graveyard / Cemetery

This Dua for Graveyard is a must repeat, especially when visiting a cemetery.
We are strongly encouraged in Islamic teachings to visit graveyards, recite dua
for our departed relatives, and learn lessons from our death and the present
transient world as well as the eternal life of the Hereafter that awaits us,

According to the Hadith. Visiting graves, according to Prophet Muhammad
Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam can decrease our allegiance to this world and

remind us more of the Hereafter. In practice, visiting graves is frequently

interpreted as a strong statement that the deceased has not been forgotten,

despite their death. When visiting graves, Muslims are encouraged to take a

moment to reflect on the positive aspects of the deceased’s life. The time

should be spent praying and reflecting on God’s mercy and goodness, as well

as the brevity of life on Earth. Visits to graves are beneficial not just to tourists,

but also to the people who are buried there. Visitors who treat the deceased kindly,

greet him with greetings, offer dua for him, and ask for forgiveness will benefit him.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) not only encourages us to visit graves but also teaches

us about proper grave etiquette. When reciting this dua, it is Sunnah of Rasulullah SAW to face the Qibla.
