Amr ibn Al As Mosque
Amr ibn al As was a military leader and a Sahabi (associate) of the Prophet.
He is most known for directing the Muslim conquest of Egypt in 640 CE. This mosque
in Egypt was constructed on the site of his tent in Fustat (meaning City of the Tents).
The original edifice is considered the first and oldest mosque ever erected in Egypt.(Amr Ibn Al As Mosque)
